Thierry Decker was born in 1966 in Paris. He started photography in the early 80's with architecture and landscapes. He suddenly realized that his images were empty of humanity and begun his studio shooting apprenticeship in the early 90's. Photography is still a secondary occupation for him, meaning he can shoot what he wants, when he wants, making abstraction of any kind of financial pressure when making his pictures, carefully choosing his subjects, preparing his sessions, shooting his images. Fascinated in faces and bodies, headshots and nudes remain the core of his images, still searching for the right expression, trying to capture this special moment giving "something" to the images. "When I photography a woman, I want her to know that she is the prettiest woman in the world, because when a woman is feeling pretty, she is really the most beautifull girl in the world."
